The “New” Surefoot Hell & Back comes with the Surefoot Contoura X2 Custom Liner and requires the use of a proper Custom Ski Orthotic. Nordica has designed this new shell out a 3-piece design. This design will make it much easier for skiers to get the boots on and off. Once it’s buckled up and ready to go the features and design of the boot will allow it to perform just as well as any other in a similar category. This boot also has a Hike/Walk mode that allows it to stand upright and therefore makes it extremely easy to cross that sometimes treacherous parking lot. The Hike mode can also be used to simply give the quads a rest while in the lift line or even used by side country skiers boot packing Dutches out the Canyons gate. The Hell & Back is equivalent to about a 100 to 110 flex and will work great for intermediate to lower level lightweight expert skiers. This Hell and Back is the answer for skiers looking for a boot that’s easy to get on and off, but still offers good performance in a new style 3-piece design. Guys with a B-D width feet and insteps of all heights will fit inside.
This custom ski boot must be made at a Surefoot store. On the checkout page, you will find a section that gives you the option of making an appointment. If you are unsure when you can get in for a fitting, an appointment can be made at a later date by calling the store. On the day of your scheduled fitting, simply show up at the store and your requested products and one of our boot techs will be waiting for you.
This men’s ski boot is measured in mondo sizing. The easiest way to determine your size is to
look at the chart below. Locate your
regular shoe size and look down to determine your boot size.
Mondo size can be translated to US sizing fairly
easily. Let’s use 27.5 for example. Add the first 2 numbers together and get a 9,
then move the .5 behind the 9. Therefore
a size 27.5 is relatively a 9.5. It does
get a bit more confusing because skiers typically wear a ski boot that is 1
size smaller than their regular shoes.
So a person who skis in a 27.5 boot will typically wear a 10 or 10.5
shoe. This simply conversion works
almost all the time. It is extremely
rare a person will wear the same size ski boot as regular shoe.
