We have been carrying Smartwool since the company started.  A high quality wool ski sock that keeps the foot warm and dry made sense to us then and still makes sense to us now.  Every season we test ski socks from many different companies and we still come back to Smartwool.
The Smartwool ski sock is made out of the highest quality wool available and has 100% wool next to your skin.  There are other fabrics in the Smartwool sock, but none of them will touch your body.  This allows the wool to work properly by pulling the moisture away from you while keeping your feet warm. Surefoot Ultralight

This Ultralight light sock can be worn in any Surefoot Custom Ski Boot or race boot.  It is made of all the fibers that Smartwool has made famous. The sock is made thin throughout to ensure that skiers gets everything out of their boots. This ski sock works great with all snug to tight fitting ski boots.

The PhD Ski Racer has the same Ultralight thickness throughout the sock except with a small amount of padding for the shin and the heel. The result is a great form fitting sock that works great in all ski boots except the loosest ones.  This ski sock is made out of all the wool fibers Smartwool has made famous.  They make sure your foot stays warm and dry while skiing.
Surefoot Ski Racer Womens

This PhD Ski Racer sock is designed for women.  The Ski Racer is basically the same as the Ultralight sock, but with padding in the shin and the heel.  This is a fun women’s sock that performs as well as it looks.  It is Surefoot’s recommended sock for their custom ski boots and proper fitting regular boots.

The PhD Ski Light is simply the next level in cushioning beyond the Ski Racer.  The Ski Light is slightly thicker overall with a bit of extra shin padding.  We recommend this sock for kid’s boots, rental boots and ski boots that are starting to pack out.
