The Impact 110 CS from Salomon simply fits well and skis well. It has a 100mm last which easily expands to 106mm due to Salomon Custom Shell Technology. The combination 110 flex and 100mm last is perfect for the guy with an average to wider than average foot who skis a couple weeks a season and feels comfortable on just about everything, but is not ready to charge down the steepest pitch. Salomon uses their Custom Fit Performance Liner that is soft and comfortable, but not so soft it packs out as fast as lesser quality boots. Overall it’s a great fitting boot that can be simply put on and skied.
This men’s ski boot is measured in mondo sizing. The easiest way to determine your size is to
look at the chart below. Locate your
regular shoe size and look down to determine your boot size.
Mondo size can be translated to US sizing fairly
easily. Let’s use 27.5 for example. Add the first 2 numbers together and get a 9,
then move the .5 behind the 9. Therefore
a size 27.5 is relatively a 9.5. It does
get a bit more confusing because skiers typically wear a ski boot that is 1
size smaller than their regular shoes.
So a person who skis in a 27.5 boot will typically wear a 10 or 10.5
shoe. This simply conversion works
almost all the time. It is extremely
rare a person will wear the same size ski boot as regular shoe.
