The Air shell from Tecnica is an all new technology designed to make ski boots more comfortable for the average skier. The Viva P80 has 2 independent and inflatable fit zones between the shell and the liner. That way the skier can customize that amount of air that goes into the forefoot and the heel area. On the back of the cuff there are 2 valves, 1 to inflate and 1 to deflate. Simply pump up the boot until your feet feel comfortable and secure. Then use the other valves to deflate the boot. The Instinct 90 CS from Salomon has the same lower shell as its big sister the Instinct 100 CS. This close fitting shell provides a great fit that makes the boot feel like an extension of the leg. The main difference from its big sister is the upper cuff. Salomon has attached the Idol cuff to the Instinct lower to give extra room for women with calves that start lower on the leg than others. This produces a great combination as many women skiers have average to low volume feet, but slightly larger calves. This design will make it much easier for skiers to get the boots on and off. Once it’s buckled up and ready to go the features and design of the boot will allow it to perform just as well as any other in a similar category. This boot also has a Hike/Walk mode that allows it to stand upright and therefore makes it extremely easy to cross that sometimes treacherous parking lot. Apex Alpine Ski Boot Mens

The Apex ski boot offers an alternative to the typical four-buckle ski boot design. The walking boot has a Boa Lace system that allows infinite adjustments to tighten or loosen the fit around the foot. The walking boot can also be removed from the carbon chassis and used to walk around the resort during lunch. (You could even leave your shoes at home and wear the walking boot to the resort). The chassis is made out of hi mod carbon resulting in very lightweight and great performance even though the foot is not completely wrapped in a traditional shell. Carbon fiber typically does not flex, however Apex has developed the "A Flex" Suspension System that allows for individual adjustment of the forward flex. All these features result in the easiest boot to get on and off we have ever carried. It works great for the skier who is tired of the traditional boot and is looking for comfort and warmth without sacrificing performance.
