Nordica has put together a very high quality boot at a great price for the entry level skier to the lighter weight upper intermediate.  The Hot Rod 85 uses the 101mm last of the Sport Machine line.  It has a Polyether-Bi Injected shell and the HP Slide-in.  These 2 features make it extremely easy to get in and out.  Hands free!  Nordica also uses their Precision Fit liner that comes in boots that are almost $200 more expensive.  This is a great boot for the guy who is looking for a quality boot at a great price.  It fits insteps of all heights and C-E width feet.
