The Booster Strap is made of high strength elastomeric webbing and a anti-slip micro-adjustable cam buckle. This power strap will close the gap between the shin and the tongue of the boot and therefore reduce boot problems such as shin bang. Once this gap is eliminated the boot also becomes more responsive. The Booster Strap also produces a progressive flex. Instead of flexing forward and trying to flex the plastic of the boot this strap allows a smooth elastic stretch before engaging the boot. The Booster strap comes in 4 different stiffness, Junior, Intermediate, Expert and World Cup. Each strap becomes stiffer and therefore works better with more advanced and heavier skiers and racers.
Please note that for this strap to work properly it should be mounted to the ski boot.
The Booster Strap comes in 4 stiffnesses. Junior, Intermediate, Expert, and World Cup.
The Junior strap should be used with small kids up to about 100 pounds.
The Intermediate strap should be used by junior racers up to 145 pounds and any intermeidate recreational skier.
The Expert strap should be used by high end expert skiers and racers.
The World Cup strap should generally be used only with plug boots.
Please note these are all estimates and other things to consider are stiffness of the boot, and stiffness of the ski.
